Plans are Underway for the Christmas Program 2012

The program is scheduled: Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.

All children are invited to participate. Our theme this year: "Jesus: the Light of the World".

During the Higher Ground Fellowship Hour, parts will be given to the children. Parts will be distributed Sunday Nvember 4th and Sunday November 11, 2012.

Rehearsals will be held on the following Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

• November 17th

• December 1st

• December 8th (final rehearsal)
  

  Required dress for the program:

  Girls: Long black skirt and white blouses with long sleeves and a collar.

  Boys: Long black pants and long sleeve white shirts with collars.

  Any students needing assistance with obtaining any of the required items shold notify their teacher in the Children;s Division.

  
  Parents, please keep the rehearsal schedule posted for further reference. There are only three rehearsals. It is important that our boys and girls attend each rehearsal and be on time.

  We are looking forward to another blessed program this year. Thank you in advance for your usual cooperation.

Children's Unit: What Does Faith Cost?

Children's Topic and Key Verses: Paul Heals Others-- Acts 28:1-10

Upon completion of the lesson the children will be able to do the following:

• Connect Paul's ministry and the subsequent hospitality he received in Malta;
• Express awe over God's extraordinary action in their lives; and
• Demonstrate their faith by ministering to the needs of others.

  LESSON OBJECTIVES:

  1. Upon completion of the lesson, the students will be able to do the following:

  2. Connect Paul's faith in God with his ability to remain calm in the midst of a storm.

  3. Recognize and appreciate how their relationship with God helps them cope with crisis; and

  4. Witness in others about how their relationship with God makes a difference in their ability to deal with crises.
